Number Three Alpine Safari and Jetboating then to Arthur's Pass

Yesterday we went on the famous Alpine Safari and Jetboat 4x4 up the Waimakiri River. We left home at 7:30am. We were picked up by Andrew Thornton and His son Josh 10 years old for a day put 4x4 Safariing up onto the Alpine Regions near Arthur's Pass.
The First stop was Springfield for a Cappachiino. Then to the River for the Jet Boat ride in a Hamilton Jetboat built to carry 20 Passengers up the Waimakiri River gorge into the Alps.

Ready to go at 60km an hour up river

Then we returned at incredible speed down river witht eh cuurent flowing at 112-16 knots and the jetboat designed and built in Christchurch at 40-60 knots
